2026 Card Structure & Strategy

Analyzing the 2026 Card Categories

Navigating the annual card requires recognizing patterns early during the deal and the Charleston. The 2026 card offers versatile options across multiple number categories:

Category Strategic Focus
2026 Utilizes 2s, Soap (0), and 6s across various suit combinations. High risk/reward due to specific tile requirements.
2468 Strong flexibility. Even-numbered runs allow easy pivots if your initial Charleston passes do not align.
Consecutive Run The most forgiving section on the card. Allows you to shift between 3-number and 4-number sequences as tiles are discarded.
13579 High utility when paired with matching Flowers or Dragons. Keep an eye on odd-number tile discards early.
Winds & Dragons Excellent defense against opponent runs. Holding matching Wind pairs restricts table flow.
Singles & Pairs High point values, but high difficulty. Remember that Jokers can never be used in this category.

Defense & Table Awareness

Winning consistently is as much about defense as building your own hand. If an opponent exposes two or three sets on their rack, cross-reference their exposures against the card to identify their target hand. Never discard a "hot tile" that completes their required pungs or quints late in the wall.
